Two weeks ago, 12 CHS students participated in Yale Model Congress. The model congress program is a national education program hosted at various Ivy League schools each year. Students must write, submit, defend, and ultimately pass legislation, impacting local, regional or national interests. Students present their bills in large and small group sessions, critically think through issues raised in other pieces of legislation, and work collaboratively with peers from across the country in committee assignments. CHS represented incredibly well, not just employees, and confidence with each bill was presented, but in a witness in model citizenship shown working with others.
